My name is Kendel Lipe and I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy, pelvic floor specialist, and owner of Phoenix Physical Therapy & Wellness. I’m an outdoor enthusiast, endurance athlete, engineer, and healer. My aim is to provide a unique, specialized and integrative approach to physical therapy, seeing every patient one-on-one and empowering them with tools to lead their most fulfilled life.
I look beyond your muscles and joints to the many facets that interact with your symptoms – your nervous system, connective tissue, posture, lifestyle and story. I use a combination of John Barnes myofascial release, somatic trauma healing, biofeedback training, trigger-point dry needling, vagus nerve stimulation, postural retraining and more.
I am passionate about holistically treating pelvic floor concerns in both males and females, educating people about this integral part of their body and core. I treat at every stage of the pregnancy cycle – I equip pre-partum moms with the knowledge, tools, range of motion and tissue mobility necessary to minimize birth trauma and be as present & joyous during the birth as possible. I work with post-partum moms weeks to years down the road, helping with incontinence and prolapse concerns, scar tissue release, pelvic pain & painful sex, and tailbone and low back pain. More importantly, I help women work through birth trauma stored in the pelvic floor and surrounding fascia, reconnecting with the area and learning to work with it rather than against it. I also help guide women in exercise and strength-training programs, empowering them to get back to all the activities they love.
I also work with males, treating erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, testicular pain, incontinence and more. I am LGBT+ friendly, speak Spanish, and have experience working with pediatric pelvic floor concerns. In addition to pelvic floor work, I also treat athletes & general orthopedic concerns, and specialize in working with those with hypermobility, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and other chronic health conditions.
I am committed to spreading awareness globally regarding pelvic floor dysfunction and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, and to providing services for those nationally and internationally who can not otherwise access it. 10% of all proceeds go towards these causes.
I’m honored to be part of this uplifting and empowering community!
